About our Association
Himachal Pradesh State Chess Association(HPSCA) came into existence on dated 24th July 2007 when it was registered with Regn. No. 26/2007 by its founder members.The Registered Head office of the association is situated at Sharma Building, Shalli Bazar Theog, District Shimla.

The aims and objectives of the Society:
(i) To promote the game of Chess to inculcate a sense of discipline amongst the players, to increase their proficiency, to foster brotherhood among the players and to promote a chess culture.
(ii) To maintain general control over the chess activities in Himachal Pradesh in accordance with the Constitution and Rules and Regulation of International Chess Federation (FIDE) in force from time to time.
(iii) To promote formation of Organizations to promote the game of chess within the jurisdiction of the Association.
(iv) To act as the Apex Body in the Himachal Pradesh of the affiliated Members
And to coordinate their activities and organize and cause to organize championships, conferences and coaching camps.
(v) To receive and spend funds to promote the game of chess in accordance with the bye laws of the HPSCA.
(vi) To select the teams to represent Himachal Pradesh and to promote, control and if necessary, finance the visit by such teams, players and officials.
(vii) To seek affiliation with the other National and International organizations, if necessary.
(viii) To generally do such other acts and things as may be necessary or conducive for achieving the objects of the HPSCA.
(ix) The activities would be purely charitable in nature and not motivated for profit.
(x) The benefit of objects would be available to the general public irrespective of caste, creed, religion or sex.
